2008 honda accord 2.4 wont crank but battery is not dead...Please HELP!!

Just makes a clicking noise. I just bought this car a week ago and its ran fine with no check engine light. It did act funny when i cranked it up the time before this occurence but when i turned my ignition it cranked on the 2nd try but stopped ten minutes later for gas and when i got in to crank it then would barely spin over and now only makes clicking noise but have power to all lights, radio, alarm so battery is not the problem. I have also noticed my steering wheel will not lock but yesterday i had to unlock it to crank my car when leaving work right before it left me stranded.

Do the easy things first:
Check the cleanliness and tightness of the battery terminals. Also check the cleanliness and tightness of the earth cable - the black cable, both on the battery terminal and where it attaches to the engine block/bodywork.

Loosen the clamp bolts on the battery terminals and 'twist' the cable connectors on the terminals to clean them. (bear in mind that if you disconnect the battery you may lose the radio code..). Retighten.

A poor earth can cause the problems you describe. The electrical system cannot earth itself and consequently won't crank or is difficult/slow/intermittent to crank.

Bear in mind that a completely dead battery / failing battery will still illuminate your dashboard lights.

But .. check that black battery lead first ...

1996 honda accord wont start fuel pump?

Sounds like your fuel pump relay is out. It's very common on these older Hondas. Quite pricy too.

Check the starter motor. Many times they go on there own with no sign, and having someone crank it while using something to tap it often helps it turn over.

If you manage to get it started, check the alternator output...I'm betting it is bad. Should be making no less than 12.5 with accessories all on, 13.5 to 14 with just engine running. Bad alt can drain battery even when off depending what failed inside it. Towing with a chain is not really a good idea. the cross pin in those differentials are not very good and can fail.
