SOURCE: how to collapse rear calipers

Open bleed valve, use a piston tool, to
turn parking brake in,as you push piston
back into caliper

The piston should screw in clockwise
That is the parking brake feature
The piston also has to be retracted ,as on the front

After the pads are on, ratchet up the P-Brake
to tighten pad clearance

You don't need to open bleeder, but it is easier,
and you absolutely have to flush brake fluid on ALL
vehicles every 2 years

Testimonial: "thanks, ps where can i purchase that tool? thanks phil"

SOURCE: 3rd piston is missfiring on

Start by checking for OBD2 Codes

Use the code to diagnose the misfire

Codes for a misfire may not tell you what is wrong,
so a repair shop would be your best bet

You can put a new coil in #3,but if that doesn't help,
put the old one back & take the new one with you,
to a mechanic

SOURCE: ac condenser replacement

The lines are held on by internal springs over a lip on the line you need this tool kit to release them. Most auto part stores like NAPA have this tool kit, it is less than $10.00 I think

SOURCE: tail light not working brake works

Liz the 2 most common things are blown out bulbs, or a blown fuse, if you take it to your local auto parts store most will help a woman in distress with quick fixes to get you to come back as a reg, customer.Or if you or a friend are handy both are pretty easy to fix ,check your manual in your glove box, that will tell you how to replace both items.

My 2005 ford focus ... the defroster button is on defrost and no air comes out of the defroster to the front windshield but blows out at your face and feet??? trying to get this fixed before snow flies...

well if it blows out at your feet you know the blower is running (as it's a common problem for blower motor shaft to rust up from AC condensate drain plugged up) but in your case it sounds like the air diverter damper arm actuator is broken or just stuck (yes it can rust too) you'll need to remove toe space cover to gain access to it on passenger side floor move heater contol back and forth to watch it move Or (NOT) you may have to free this up or replace it

Where is the oriface tube for the air conditioner located on a 2005 ford taurus

look for a line connection between the AC condenser in front of the radiator, and the AC compressor. The lines on each side of the connection should be "swollen" like a barely inflated long skinny balloon.

Went on 1.5hr trip when I noticed water dripping down on the pass side floorboard. Pulled the glove box and noticed a ton of condensation on the a/c box (condensing coil?). 2005 Exp V8. About at the same...

There is a condensation drainage tube that runs from the condenser to the bottom of the vehicle. I would assume this tube was clogged by somthing and the excess water was building up and decreasing the efficiency of the a/c. I would remove the drainage line at the bottom of the ac condenser and make sure nothing is blocking the drainage. Hope this helps!

Need to replace ac condensor on 1999 taurus how do you do it

If your AC system is empty...The condenser is in front of the radiator.
1. Use ramps or jacks or a lift to raise the car so you can work under it.
2. remove the splash guard under the radiator.
3. Remove the bolts holding the tranmission cooling lines. These also may also hold the bottom of the condenser on the AC line side. Move the cooling lines away from the AC lines.
4. Remove the nuts holding the AC lines to the condenser. You may have to hold the fittings with a vise wrench to prevent bending the pipes.
5. Remove the other lower condenser bolt and use the access holes to remove the top bolts holding the condenser.
6. Lower the condenser out.
Reverse procedure to install the new condenser.

If you have the correct tools, this is a fairly easy job.
