SOURCE: Mercury Cougar heater blower only works on high.

remove the trim panel below the glove box and you will see the blower motor, just to the left of it you will see a 4 wire connector plugged into the case. This is the blower motor resistor, this is what you need to replace.

Why wont my radiator fan come on, i changed both sensors and put on a new thermostat as well a new fuse. But nothing! It's a 01 mercury cougar v6

Did you check for voltage and ground, anywhere? Did you check for voltage at applicable fuses? Use a test light. If you unplug high-speed relay, use jumper wire on load side of relay, the hi speed fan should run. The load side of relay is that arrow head.

I had a new radiator installed and now the car is running hot. What would cause the car to run hot?

Check when cold that the coolant level is full in the radiator. Check it at the radiator not just at the orerflow tank. There may have been air locks in the engine - heater or hoses when the radiator was fitted . Also check that if it has an electric fan that the sender plug has been re attached to the sender switch on the radiator and that the fan is operating when the engine hot. The fan should come on for a minute or so then turn off until the sender switch turns it on again.
