it's not a valve it's a blend door or blend door actuator under the dash that switches the way the air is handled in your vehicle. I would start by removing the fan motor in the passenger side foot well and make sure the fan is clear of all debris. then you should be able to switch cold to hot on the dash and hear a door change the direction of the air inside the box in your dash. if that blend door is not working properly then you will need to see if there is a blend door actuator http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKA3LLFreTw
Check the fuse. Then check the headlight switch in the dashbord. and obviusly check and make sure the headlights didn't blow out at the same time... mine have blown at the same time before
Make sure the large line going in the firewall is cold,if so,the problem is on the inside ,check the temp door,it is most likely not opening for cold temp.
Try backwards flushing heater core first beforereplacing it.Be sure temp blend door is working and if equiped, the coolant flow valve also.Hope this helps.
it is the control module u set for heat/ac in the center of the dash, all the electronics are in side this module that do the switching and maintain the temp u set
you add refrigerant to the low side port only, which faces the front right side of the engine compartment. The aluminum can has 3 fittings on the back and one on the front, that one is the low side port.
