Water leaking from passenger side is clear water

Kind of the same issue. When the heater is on, the van does not over heat. But drips clear water?? ( not antifreeze, caught a full glass while dripping ) when i turn the heater off water stops and starts to over heat. i thought it may just be condinsation as the rear ac metal tube leaks a small puddle when ever the ac is on, since i have owned it. but then the over heating started. Yes i still get heat inside the van. and i am not getting water inside the van, only outside, down the passenger side firewall. Thanks in advance.

2004 Buick Rainier is leaking water from the dash on the passenger side to the floor Theres also water soaking the floor entirely and it feels very warm I have no clue whats happening or how to fix it

It sounds like a leaking heater core. If your radiator level keeps loosing fluid? that will confirm this as the problem. The "Warm water" is engine coolant and is simply getting caught up in the lower dash board sloshing around as you turn
You probably need to replace the heater core . It is what gives you heat inside the car from the engine. Another symptom would be no heat inside the car caused by low fluid level. Driving too long like this WILL cause serious engine damage.

My 1998 Crown Victoria had steamed the passenger side windshield, digital thermostat never indicated that the engine was hot, i smell antifreeze, water leaking inside passenger side by glove box and a

It sure sounds like the heater core, especially if you have water leaking inside the cabin. The two heater hoses only go from the engine to the firewall, and do not go into or through the firewall. They connect to the heater core right at the firewall.
Check carefully around the back side of the engine and the heater hoses, though. If a freeze plug is leaking, water will be dripping off the bottom of the engine. If it is leaking before the firewall, that would not be the heater core.

My 2003 dodge grand caravan is leaking water from a line about under the passenger side. Radiator is low. I can see water leaking.

that water could be the condensation line,, if you have had your AC on, water will leak from along the firewall on the passenger side, where the tube runs out of the vehicle. Your radiator could have been low to begin with and when you saw the water leak,, you though that was it. check the puddle,, is it clear water or does it have antifreeze in it? If its clear water chances are , that its just the drip line from your AC, if it does contain antifreeze , check the 2 water hoses that run into the heater core , you can also see where they go into the cab portion of the van, from under the hood,

Water drips onto carpet on passengers side front foot area. Can be seen dripping from plastic air ducting above foot area. how to figure out how its getting in. Have replaced windshield.

You can only have 2 issues dripping water onto the passenger floor board. First being a clogged drip line for the ac evaporator. The other is a leaking heater core. Figuring out which one is the issue is fairly easy.

If your vehicle has anti freeze in it when you turn the defrosters on it will smell sweet. If it does you have a leaking heater core. If it does not then the drip line is clogged.

To clear the drip line get under the vehicle and snake the drip line on the firewall. It usually is a 90 degree rubber or plastic piece on the passenger side about a third of the way up the firewall. A leaking heater core means it has to be replaced and not really a job for someone that is not exsperienced.

Waterleaking passenger floor all wet!!! where is the heater coil and can i by pass it

call any auto parts store to find exact location of heater core. yes you can bypass it, but you will have no heat inside of car, it needs to be replaced. to bypass just hook hoses from core together, without going through heater core.

AC works fine but water drips on passenger side

this is normal, water is the condensation leaking out,but if leaking inside the van then the drain is pluged up, the drain is on the pass/side outside the van on the firewall, blow air into drain or stick a coat hanger in to hole until water leaks out,

Heater takes to long to get hot and water is dripping form dashboaerd on passenger side i have a 2000 grand jeep cherokee

Sounds like one of two things are happening. Either the hose going to the heater core (on the engine side of the dash) is leaking causing coolant to spray into the passenger compartment or your heater core is leaking which is causing the dripping from the passenger side of the dash. This would also cause a loss of coolant in the engine which would cause the engine to overheat and not enough coolant to get to the heater core to supply heat to the passenger compartment. Check your coolant level (while engine is cold) and refill it with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water after you tighten the leaking hose or replace the heater core. Then start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature. Again let it cool down and then top off the radiator with the 50/50 mix of coolant. Do not under any circumstances open the radiator cap while the engine is hot.

Heater core leaks! temp in car interior fluctuates; HELP!

yup, its running to that point before it dripps off. you can bypass the heater core to stop the leaking, but you won't have heat. take the two heater core hoses ( two hoses connected at the fire wall on passenger side) and connect them together. you will need a fitting to connect them with.
