Transmission cooler

Having once owned a trans repair shop I
would never tow with that transaxle or any
front wheel drive transaxle

You can look in the grill & see all the coolers
& follow the lines & tubing to power steering
& transaxle

NO factory cooler will be large enough for towing

Do you change your trans fluid every 3 years or sooner,
on ALL vehicles you have ever owned?

Death Sentence to any trans if you don't

Power Steering Fluids as well

You could pull a small trailer just to take leaves to
the recycle center but nothing else.

Those caravans need to come from the factory with a
spare trans,60% of my shops work was those transaxles

Hi my name is Dana, & my question is: Does the 2006 Envoy XL Denali come already equiped with a transmission cooler or is that something I have to install one myself.

All you have to do is follow the trans cooler lines to
any cooler

Can call a dealer with your VIN # & they will tell you
how it was built

Can't find dip stick for transmition

There is a dipstick, most likely rear drivers side of engine but could be elsewhere. There are only 2 dipsticks in engine compartment, one is oil and the other is trans fluid. They should be marked. You add the fluid down the dipstick tube. Engine needs to be running in park and trans needs to be at operating temp to get accurate measurement on fluid. Hope this helps.

if the as you call it muck in the reservor is pink in color and your looking trans fluid i would say the trans cooler is leaking internally into the cooling system make sure the trans fluid is not getting pink as well it will damage the trans

I have a 1996 VW Jetta and don't know how to check/add trasmission fluid. I am at a loss and don't want to attempt the long drive to the dealership. What can I do????

You check the trans fluid while the engine is running. The dipstick will be going into the trans. When you pull the dipstick out wipe it, put it back in then pull it back out. There will be an area of xxxxx or /////. This is your safe area. Use the same spout the dipstick goes in to fill with trans fluid by using a funnel.

Does my 2006 pontiac montana sv6 have a transmission cooler so I can haul a small trailer with 2 quads? Do I really need one?

Most vehicles have one or two means of cooling
trans fluid.
I wouldn't tow anything, without replacing whatever
factory cooler you have, out front of the condenser

You need more cooling capacity and in the summer
I would bypass the radiator cooler and use the surface
to air,you need to upgrade

Need info on installing new radiatior on Jeep rubiocon 2006 can not get 2 small tubes on the bottom of radiator off without cutting. I know there should be a way to remove them w/o cutting. thanks ...

You never have to cut anything. Common sense
If your referring to the Trans Cooler Lines, you need flair nut wrenches or cooler line release tool, avail at parts store

How do i check transmissiom fluid 2006 jetta

Hi there,

Jetta's 2006 carry sealed gear box. There is no dip stick to check the transmission fluid. Per manufacturer, transmission fluid requires to change unless there is any issue with transmission. I hope this helps.
