If your check engine light is on then there is something not functioning the way its meant to.give the car time to warm up for awhile and then switch the car off for a few minutes. Restart the car,your check lights should come on a go off after its checks. Try that and see if it works out. Good luck.

Pull the cluster out and check the bulb, it may be loose in the socket or the cluster connector may be loose, remove it and plug it back in and see what happens.
