SOURCE: Radio stopped working.

The problem could be a problem with the wiring to the speakers or the speakers themselves could be blown. I had the same problem with my Camaro once. I would try to replace the speakers and see if that fixes the problem. If not then I would either rplace the wiring or take it in to have it done.

SOURCE: my impala keeps chiming and

A common cause to your problem is a faulty oil pressure switch. This monitors the oil pressure and when defective, can falsely trigger the low oil pressure light. If the switch is good, the oil pump may be bad. Listen carefully for "ticking" under the hood. This would be a sign of insufficient lubrication to the lifters/rocker arms.

SOURCE: The chime stopped working if

First you did not mention trim level or what radio you have asuming you have a RDS radio system since you mentioned your radio did in fact work that gives me the impression you do nt have a WT or base model. If in fact you have a RDS radio the chime only chimes on the one driverside speaker (large one in door not the tweeter) See if that speaker is opperational. If it is opperational and you have the controlls on the steering wheel locate your owners manual and see how to enable the chimes or disable the chime. You or someone may have disabled the chime. Try these two posibilities if they dont work resubmit and I will look into problem farther, it may be in the radio itself.

Got in my 09 Impala after work & no display or sound from my radio. Went to the gas station stopped opened the door no door chime? I have no clue what the problem is, the dash indicators work?

It seems to me you should check your fuses, they burn all the time. There inside your car most of the times under or near the steering wheel somewhere in that erea

My 2008 chevy impala has intermittent speakers on 3 or the 4 main speakers. both front and right rear stop working and then start again. also the chimes for keys in the ignition also are intermittent. ...

Well its most likely a bad connection at the ignition switch a lose or corroded blade or female connector not a main power wire .Or a connection at the radio it self .
Problems like this ie .electrical problems seam hard to understand at first . But what you need to do is look at the problem 3 speakers intermittent yet they work sometimes the chime for the key same .
I would pull the radio fuse out of the fuse box first if the chime problem goes away the problem is likely a connection on the back of the radio or corresponding wiring connections .If not then you need to look at the ignition and door switch door open door closed .
In short don't ripe things apart its much cheaper and easier to test then form a plain . You may need to buy a cheap tester or meter have fun with it.

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala and the radio is not putting out any sound. The display works but no sound.. Any ideas on whats wrong?

I also have a 2004 Impala with the same problem. I searched the computer and found that a connection in the wiring under the carpet and behind the passenger seat gets corroded from the floor being wet. I'm in the process of removing seats and carpet to find this problem and hopefully fix it. I'm sure that your door chime quit working too.

The chime stopped working if I leave my key in or the lights on. The radio works. I wonder which fuse might control this. That sounds like the first place to look. What else should I look for?

Electrical issues

the radio runs the door chimes as well as a number of other components. dash lights things liketha so if your stereo is not working thats why your door chimes are not either. I would start with fuses then look to getting a new stereo only thing ir a n aftermarket harness for that car runs about $150 bucks

2005 impala radio works, no sound or warning charms for low fuel.

If you purchased this vehicle used sometimes people will take the fuse out to stop the chime for low fuel and doors open. If your saying that the radio works and there is sound, this has nothing at all to do with the chime for the low fuel. Check the fuses and see if one is blown or removed. I hope this helps, good luck..

THIS SHOULD HELP YOU

Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHG OIL SOON light flashes two times, the system is resetting. Turn the key to OFF, then start the vehicle. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and the radio off. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed. Press the SEEK up or down arrow to scroll through the main menu. Scroll until OIL LIFE appears on the display. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed. Press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second. Once the message has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display. Is the radio stock? If so have you tried getting a different OEM radio?
