Check the cap and rotor. Spark plugs. Could just need a tune up. Run some injector cleaner through it. Fuel pump may be a little weak.

Possible fuel pump. Try turning the ignition key on 3 or 4 times before cranking the engine over. This allows the fule pressure to build up. Hook up a gauge to check the pressure.

SOURCE: 1995 Ford Bronco 172 EGO not switching lean bank1- jerks when run

Have u checked for vacuum leaks or poss leaking EGR valve? use carb spray around the upper intake manifold where it bolts to the lower manifold, spray vacuum lines where they are connected to the engine vacuum ports, the idle speed will change if u hit a leak, as far as the EGR valve goes see if it gets hot at idle, if it does it is leaking, if all checks ok replace the O2 sensor, but i suspect u will find a leak at the upper intake plenum.

Loose connection is the problem. It takes petience to find where it is at. Do some wiggling on wires to see where it is.

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.

are u referring to the IRCM? (Integrated relay control module), when u say proper placement what do u mean by this? Have u run a test of the IRCM with a OBD2 scanner, It will produce a code if it is the problem, if u have not scanned the system I strongly suggest you scan the system which will run the IRCM through an active functional test. B3below is the proper relay that a trusted on line parts dealer shows for this van and it does cross over to the ford number u gave.

1991 ford bronco fuel pump wont shut off

The fuel pump should turn on for about 3-5 seconds when you turn the ignition switch to on. If the engine starts the pump should still continue to run, if you do not start the vehicle the pump will shut off. It sounds like your fuel pump relay is stuck. Sometimes they will stick on even with the key off. The relay should be located in the relay box, under the hood on the drivers side on the inner fender well. You can try tapping on the relays with a end of a screwdriver, etc. See if that does anything for you. If that doesn;t help I will have to look up some info. Been a while since I had issues with that .

Won't run. Replaced Fuel Pressure Regulator; Engine Computer Module (QDM40; sprayed carb cleanet into EGR; replaced Ignition Control Module. Car runs on Quick Start Fluid only.

If it runs on start fluid and nothing else its obviously a fuel concern fuel pump ,fuel pump relay ,check fuel pressure at the regulator that you replaced.

1995 olds 88 3.8 L. Sometimes won,t start.Cranks and immediatly dies on 1 to 10 attempts.Once starts ,runs fine. already replaced crank pos. sensor. Can hear fuel pump prime up when key is on. No check...

check the ignition control module wires are shorting out? Try the wiggle test next time no start. wiggle the wires and see if it starts. This is a factory mechanic approved test procedure.

1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.

Have you checked that you have power to the coil on cranking? You may also want to check wether you have a good strong spark at the spark plug.It could be an ignition module breaking down.If you have no power to the coil you may need to change the ignition relay. Its close to the battery.
