Have everything detached but can only get the stereo to pull out half way feels like wires are really short any ideas?
SOURCE: How can I replace the stereo of a 2002 dodge caravan with 2001
The whole front plastic cover over the stereo and heater controls is screwed in with two screws at the bottom of the cover, just above the cupholders. Take out those two screws and then pop off the cover, which is held in place by clips up the sides and at the top. There are four bolt/screws that hold the radio/cassette/cd (whichever you have) in place. Unscrew them and replace the stereo. Plugs SHOULD fit, and if they do just replug it and you're good to go. If the plugs DON'T match up, get a wiring harness from Best Buy or Walmart.
But be warned! Just because the stereos look VERY similar and fit very nicely into the other spot in the dash, they may NOT have matching wiring plugs. I just put a 2003 Neon CD player into my 2002 Caravan, and the harnesses didn't match up and neither did the antenna.
Good luck!

The panel or the housing normally lists the names of the items that are controlled by the fuses. If that doesnt work, disconnect the battery terminals and you are good to go
