Did you get a check engine light? If so, have someone read the code(s) stored in the car's computer - that will at least lead you down the right path.

I do believe it is a maxi fuse in a little fuse box in the fender right beside the battery.

There will be a nob or button for that in driver side .. most probably on the left hand side ( door hinge). There will be symbols for auto and manual head light operation.
SOURCE: Is their a fuse for the check engine light on a 2000 olds bravada ?
Probably not.
The check engine light will come on for various things such as an O2 sensor having gone bad. It will also come on if the seal on the gas cap has gotten a leak. It will come on when the air conditioning system is too low on coolant, as well, as well as for a number of other things.
Usually, the car will need to be put on a diagnostic computer to determine exactly what the check engine light actually means.
Most local mechanics have these diagnostic computers these days, as do all of the car dealers, or a Sears Auto Center. Take you pick and have one of them run a diagnostic check on the car to find out what's actually causing the check engine light to come on.
It's highly unlikely that it's a fuse however, as all of the items I mentioned above which I've had experience with have no fuse associated with them. They just trigger the check engine light, and it takes one of those diagnostic computers to determine what the actual cause is.
