If you look under the seat, you will find several motors. For reclining there could be a few of options to check. Motor being one, and linkage being one, and just wear and tear on the swivel points. Hate to say this, but weight of the person can make a big difference on all I mentioned.
I would find an independant shop that has a Tech 2 or equal scan machine....these can communicate with your TCM (Transfercase Control Module) and narrow down what the problem is.
you dont say what miles the car has done.but you should now be using semi synthetic 20/50 oil and try using a fuel additive(redex/wynns)to clean the injectors.if you are using oil it is possible that the engine has lost some of its compression due to ring/valve wear.did you know that to convert your engine to a 130/150bhp unit, you only need to change the ecu try"diesel tuning"website.....
well although it {the fuse looks good did you pull the fuse to inspect and ensure the fuse truly is good and not blown ...otherwise the wires between the door jamb have broken from the constant wear from opening and closing the door or the switch is malfunctioning { gone bad} and testing with a test light will help you determine exactly this a test light is about 8or 10 bucks for a cheaper one {{{ but 1st most check the fuses }}} it may save you time and money before you begin tearing into wiring etc...
well it has passlock two and this is common with these cars. never seen the other issue to accompany it but if you do a relearn of the key and it starts then it could be two different issue's but if it don't work then they are related.
a relearn of the key is done with the ebrake up to keep the day time running lights off ( not an issue for you) but do it anyway. put key in the ignition and turn it to the on postion right before crank for 10 sec. turn it off for 10 sec. then turn it back on for 10 mins. repeat two more times back off for 10 sec. and then back on for 10 mins. it is cruishle you try to keep with in the times or very close. 10 seconds and 10 minuites three times and that will relearn the key and if it starts then you may have two issue's but hard to tell with out testing. but i think this is the best thing you can do for now.
i have a customer that can't afford the passlock module and labor so i taught her this and she is better then me now at it. lol... but like i said very common issue. let me know if you have any more question. good luck
