I had the same problem with my 2005 mazda 3. The ac drain hose was plugged. I disconnected the drain hose and used a can of air to spray in the hose and into where the hose attaches. Water came gushing out instantly. About half a gallons worth. Attached the hose back on and problem fixed! The dealer was trying to charge me $1200 to replace the heater core and that wasn't even the problem!

Two things: If there is a stickiness or sweet smell to the water, your heater core may be leaking.
If this is just a summer thing, your a/c evaporator drain tube my be blocked/clogged or leaking inside the vehicle.

1997 Nissan Sentra when it rains water leaks in on the passenger floor somehow behind the dash Maybe

Don A has an excellent answer, but if you have a sunroof, that is more likely the reason. The pipe runs down between the door pillar and the windshield and there is often a join there which can part. Be careful with compressed air as it can blow joints apart.

2010 chevy traverse has water in the floorboard

Four possible causes (may be more):
1. Leak at door or window/windshield (particularly after rain or car wash).
2. The heater core is leaking (water will be on the passenger side floor).
3. Blocked A/C condensation drain
4. Leaking sunroof or blocked drain (should be evidence of water on the A or B pillars, also after rain or car wash)).

Water under dashboard passenger floor

If you have a sunroof, that may be your issue. I had a similiar problem when it would rain. After a good rain, water would pour from my front side pillars when making turns, which allowed me to see how water got on the floor.

SOLUTION:
1. Open sunroof, stand up so you can fully see sunroof tracks.
2. In the right/left front corners of the the sunroof tracks are small vent holes (locate them). All sunroofs have these holes in the event of minimal water leakage.
3. Take a 2-3 ft strand of solid wire approx 18ga, insert into vent holes to clear out any type of debris, or build-up. (the dealer wants to charge you $$$ to send your vehicle to another facility to do water test for leakage)
4. Last, take a decent sized squeezable cup filled with hot water (not too hot to hold cup), enough to slowly pour is into sunroof track/vent holes. This will ensure you actually pushed any debris down the vent tubing.
5. If you cleared any build-up from the vent holes, you should see water puddles on the ground, or just have someone watch for leakage near the back of the front wheel well.

Hope it works, I performed this same manuever on my wifes 2009 Jeep Patriot, and filled some corner gaps in the tracking with silicon ($2.89 small tube), when the dealer wanted $150 for leak diagnostics. "Really"

Water leak on drivers side in my 1999 Honda Civic DX Coupe

Go to the passenger side or driver side there you need to find the A/C drain tube make sure that it is draining outside and not in the compartment area. This drain hose tends to pop out, so when you have the A.C on you notice there is water draining out but in your case its going in thhe car.

2009 Mazda 3 found water puddled under floor mat on drivers side, where is it coming from?

Could be condensation from the air conditioner. This normally drains out a tube near the glove box, onto the ground. If this drain tube comes off or is clogged, the water will drain into the interior of the car instead.
Could also be a leak around the windshield, door, or sunroof.
When do you notice it most? Warm humid days, or after a rain or car wash?

Have a benz 01 ml320, with leaking sunroof drain on

Open up the sunroof and try to unclog the drainage. You will see this from the inside of the ML by opening the whole sunroof and stickin your hear thru. On the drivers side you will see a drainage whole similar to the passenger side. Mine did the same thing and unclogged it with a straw. [email protected]

Mazda Tribute. Water leak under driver's feet. Had similar leak on passenger's side and it was the air-conditioning. Could this be the same?

Generally, water on the passenger side is the A/C drain tube.
Driver side generally means widshield or sun roof seal leak.
Did you wash the Mazda or did it rain prior to puddling?
Before disassembling the windshield seal, test ... with a water hose (Remove floormat and place a towel on newspapers on the driver's side floor).
There is a "smoke" test" that can more accurately find the leak. See if you local AutoZone will rent one (maybe free) to you.

Water leak on fwd and back passenger side after every rain storm

pull your carpet up near the leak area and look for muddy body seams. it is possible one of the factory body seams are leaking- possibly in the cowl(under wipers) area, especially if it leaks when the car is sitting. there will be dirt/mud around the seams that are leaking. also you can check door seals by running the car on HIGH DEFROST with all doors and windows closed. spray around with a 50/50 soapy water solution. obviously bubbles will form around your leak.
