I have a 1995 ford escort car the problem in this car is the idle of this car so high if i connect the idle switch its goes down and up and down

Change the air filter and clean the throttle body and IAC motor.

Try cleaning the throttle body and check the gap on all the spark plugs also all electrical sensor plugs and battery terminals this could be related to engine temperature also if to hot rpms stay up longer to cool off but maybe your idle air control valve is bad when did it start?

Change the fuel regulator the wench is on in the picture

EGR valve and PDFE sensor control idle speed. The idle speed valve you replace very rarely goes bad.

sounds like a vacuume leak, take some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the hoses slowly, when the motor levels out you found your leak, being 11 yrs old, i would change all the hoses anyway, they are overdue

it sonds like it is your iss switch idle speed switch

check for fault codes to make sure sometimes the computer does not fault this switch

No you have air trapped in the cooling system, rasie the front of the car up as high as you can get it, fill the coolant bottlre to the top and run the engine for about 15 minutes at a high idle, let it cool down, it should purge itself of air once it is cool, make sure your radiator cap is good.

The IAC valve is usually the problem with the 1.9 Escorts ,causing a very poor engine idle at a stop. It is located on the side of the throttle body .

sounds like filter (fuel) is clogged. causing a strange fuel flow.

Hi , i have a 1995 Escort with 1.9 4 cyl engine , at cold start the engine revs ok but as it get warmer it start to idle rought and die , with a scantool the o2 sensor always reed lean at idle , after checking fuel pressure , air mass meter , EGR valve , and potential vacuum leak at intake and hoses , its the PCV valve that give me that problem , as i remove the pipe with the valve there was a whissle noise comming from it , when i block the valve at its tip the whissle noise stop the engine revs smooter and the o2 reads normal , i replace the PCV and its idling good .
