The fuse for the cig lighter is located in the fuse panel located inside the vehicle Location disciption below). The fuse you are looking for is in the number 47 position and should be a 20 amp fuse (see other picture below). This should be in your owners manual if you have one. Always use the specific Owner's Manual for the correct Model Year of a Ford or Mercury vehicle. I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Taurus, and had thought that I could use the Owner's Manual from a 1999 Mercury Sable from a friend. BUT, I figured out that each model year can be very different (before any serious damage happened.) Good luck.
