Find the diagnostic plug mercedes 1992 2.3

not completely sure it is the same on Japanese cars but my info says '' under hood left fender apron, it may also be near the battery.

It is located under vehicle, driver side, below rear seating area, front of fuel tank, under plastic cover, mounted on frame in fuel line.

You could have 2 problems. The hard start in the AM could be a bad fuel accumulator and or check valve in the fuel pump. The engine cutting out could be a bad idle stabilization valve, dirty throttle body and housing or a bad 02 sensor, could also be just a CO adjustment. Where are you located?

this is not an electric issue. at this point, the transmission will need to be rebuilt. try to locate a trusted rebuilder who is familiar with mercedes. others have tendency to screw these up. cheers

Sounds like your battery is weak and if it is over two years old replace it. You can test the battery with a hydrometer. Also check battery terminals for tightness and corrosion. When a battery is weak it becomes subject to cold temperatures and failure. Also have your altenator and voltage regulator checked.

The fuel filter is located under the car just in front the of rear axle near the right side (passenger side if you're in the USA). It's right there with the fuel pump. Make sure you depressurize the fuel line before changing it though. :) Also have a fire extinguisher close by - just in case things get crazy.

This is for the 1990 190e 2.6. That's as new as my software goes. It may be the same, but I'm not absolutely sure.

Lift the hood. Just below the screen, opposite side from battery, you'll see a plastic cover shielding the engine management, abs control box etc. If you search around there after removing the shield/ cover you will find a relay with a fuse plugged into the top of it. This is the pump / system relay.
