Well your ac system has a leak in it and there may be a vacuum leak around the seals and the cigarette lighter works off a fuse or relay that may need to be replaced.

40 Amp fuse keeps blowing immediately after I put it in and turn the key.

Possibly but more likely you've disturbed the wiring and it is now causing a short circuit

I lost power to my ac (it blows hot air) lost power to my cigarette lighter and recently the alarm went off are all 3 connected to 1 fuse

They shouldn't be. If the alarm went off it wouldnt have a "blown fuse". That would cut the power to the alarm. You may have low refrigerant keeping the AC from running and a blown fuse for the cigarette lighter.

How do I know if I need a new air compressor

Are you asking about air con or about a compressor to supply air for blowing things up like tyres? It is possible that a short circuit is still happening in the lighter / power socket. Make sure that all fuses and relays are working.

Subaru 2003 cigarette lighter overheats when not in use. Whole panel surrounding the lighter get s very hot. And even though the aircon and fan is switched off, hot air blows in.

investigate or get it investigated, because this could quite easily set fire to your car. i would seriously consider disconnecting it until problem sorted. unplug the whole unit and make sure no live wire/s are bare. hope this helps

My side light fuse keeps blowing on my 2002 clio. When this happens speado light goes off. Any ideas of how to fix?

Not really but i would check the bulb holders first ,rear light make sure its the right bulb ,look inside the bulb holder at the contacts ,one or two ?? check it out you would be surprised how many people fit the wrong bulb ,then if ok check the front light its a c?pless bulb and again the tiny contacts get bent and short it out .

Cigarette lighter does not get hot. Replacement

there are two prongs inside the lighter socket that you can bend in a little bit, these usually stay out if you've left a phone charger in. use something non metalic to bend the tabs in or you will blow the fuse for the lighter socket, hope this helps

2004 chevy tahoo air conditioning wont work

Well as long as he did not unplug any fuse or repace the blown fuse in the a/c fuses spot then it just maybe just bad luck.Anyway check to make sure the belt is on the compressor, and if thats ok make sure the compressor is coming on.If it is then get it recharged and put some dye in it to help find the leak.

Cigarette lighter and radio not working on 2002 Honda coupe

They probably share the same fuse. Sounds like cig lighter coil is shorted and "fiddling around" blew the fuse. Replace the fuse and try a different lighter coil.

Heater takes forever to start blowing hot air

You probably have a bad thermostat - the one that controls water flow to the radiator. It's supposed to stay closed until the engine reaches proper operating temperature. But when they fail, it's usually in the open position so the water circulate to the radiator all the time. The engine takes longer to warm up, and you shiver in the meantime. It does eventually get hot - it just takes a lot longer. I bet if you replace that thermostat you'll be toasty in no time. As for the cigarette lighter, your portable heater may have blown the fuse.
