Did you check your battery voltage? Try to jump the vehicle with another vehicle that is running fine? It takes less battery power to light up bulbs in the dash than it does to crank your engine.

Turn key and nothing just silence.

It could be either one of those. If your ignition key has the little chip(black plastic with metal in the middle) on it between the teeth and handle it could be the VAT security module or the key itself. Does this happen sporadically or is this the first time that has happened?

I just went out to start my car, and the key turns but nothing happens except the dashboard lights come on. No turn over, no noise.....

It sounds like you ignition switch went out. I had this happen to my wife a few years ago you turn the key the acceseries turn on but nothing else. this will be a trip to the dealer. did you happen to smell something electrical burning the last time you car was working if so it is the starter switch. you will need to take it to the deales an get a ne w switch which will also involve new keys$$$
