Engine quits when turning right....starts again right after

Try this..... Put key into ignition and turn so lights come on (facia).. Do not start car... Turn the steering wheel left to right 90° approx a few times. This will be quite hard to do.
Then turn off ign and restart as normal.
If steering wheel light has gone out and steering is working you will need a new motor drive at some point.
Note.. Sometimes the fuse blows so check fusebox and replace if necessary.

check for vacum leak

change air filter and fuel filter clean fuel injectors.faulty coolant temperature sensor will cause cold start problems.

Could be any of several things. If the crank sensor is marginal and not sending pulses, the fuel pump is shut off. This is for safety. The pump is energized for a few seconds as key is turned in preparation for starting then engine must rotate normally to keep the pump on. If it stops, in a few seconds the fuel is cut off.

Do all these things quit working at the same time? If so, I would be looking at my main power circuits - like possibly a bad ignition switch.

Sounds like you are having a fuel problem with the fuel filter. If you have not had your car serviced in quite awhile i would do so. At least change the fuel filter and check the air filter as well. Hope thias will help you.

hi, if when you turn the key the engine dont even turn over then this is a good indication that the starter motor needs replacing.
If the car has manual gear box you could try putting it in 2nd gear then get some one to help push the car so that the engine turns this way slightly then try starting this sometimes gets it started also you could try hitting the starter motor with a hammer this may also get it started.
First check all fuses and replace any that are blown then try again if still no joy then check the wires going to the starter motor are secure if they are then its a good chance it needs replacing.

If you have a manual box then you could put the car in 2nd gear with the igniton switched on then get someone to give you a good push or tow you down the road, keep the clutch pushed to the floor untill you have got moving quite quick then release the clutch this should then turn the engine over and fire the engine up then the car will be running, this in its self may free up the starter motor allowing it to start but be warned it will happen again so get it replaced sooner rather that later.

If you have an auto box then make sure the shifter is in right place move it all the way up and down a few times then give it another try as sometimes if its slightly out of line it wont engage the starter motor.

You might want to look at your fuel pressure. Test the pressure cold, turning the key on before starting it and then when it is hot,

You could also have a coil that is not putting out spark when it gets too hot. The engine gets hotter when you shut it down because the water is not being circulated. Once the vehicle is shut down the temp increases for a while. It could also be an ignition modual, sometimes just before total failure they quit working when they get hot.

As you can see there are a lot of things that can cause this and it makes it hard for a repair shop to diagnose with out having it for enough time to duplicate the problem.

If you want to try yourself, you will need at least a fuel pressure Gage.

sounds like a bad ignition switch, its robbing power from the elctrical system when you are cranking the engine but as soon as you let off it restores power again. sometimes just in time to fire while the engine is still cranking. hope i could help

it apears to have been a faulty fuel pump ie no pressure at test point tapped fuel tank with small mallet fired up straight away.new fuel pump on its way. thanks
