It is not evaporator (evaporator is a part in an AC system) it is the fuel evaporation control system. It is located under the car near the gas tank.

Transmission Slipping 2003 Pontiac Montana Checked fluid and all seems fine what could be the problem?

There are two possible causes. First is a leaking lip seal causing the system to slip, which the computer sees and it, the computer then increases the pressure to accomodate the slip, causing the bang. The second is a problem with the valve body. Either a binding valve or pressure regulator.

Both of these will require the transmission to be removed to check.

It does not have one,it has a orifice tube,and it is located right behind the cruse control servo,on the fend well,it is where the two lines come together.Remove the nut,it is in there,where the line is swelled.If this was at all helpful,please rate,thank you.
