The part that broke off might be long enough to still be in the tube and you can get it out by removing the tube out of the block should be just pressed in and can be pulled out, check to see if it has a bolt holding it. If the part that broke off is short and fell into the oil pan don't worry about it just put in a new dipstick
Many dipstick holders are bolted to the engine...removing this bolt and the dipstick tube should also retrieve the dipstick...you may need a new tube, as well as dipstick...Hope this helps.
There is a bracket that holds the tube to the block. There is no clips or retainers that hold it in the block. With the bracket loose you can twist and remove from the block. There is a oil ring on the end of the tube. Sometimes the old tube is hard to remove...due to rust and corrosion. Spray the tube with a good penetrating oil before you start. Try to wiggle and twist the tube to brake it free....be careful, the tube is thin. If the tube breaks off flush with the block..the piece that in the block will need to get extracted out or remove the oil pan and remove it that way.
my nissan sentra 1.8 2004 engine oil dip stick tube broke i took out some part but remaining part still in engine block so how cav i took this out. thanks
look on dip stick you should see cross hatched area with add oil or oil full mark.if you wipe oil dip stick with a clean paper towel and dip stick look dry no sign of oil add little oil at a time see if oil level reach add oil mark or the full mark.if oil is low. low oil light will turn on if bulb is blowed but if dip stick look dry oil level could be low,add little bit at a time dont over fill.
SOMETIMES A SMALL POWERFUL MAGNET CAN BE USED TO EXTRACT THE STICK BUT REMOVAL OF THE OIL PAN IS ONE METHOD THAT ASSURES ALL REMNANTS OF THE DIPSTICK ARE REMOVED FROM THE OIL PAN. TRY FISHING THROUGH THE TUBE BEFORE RESORTING TO PULLING THE PAN. YOUR IMAGINATION IS A POWERFUL TOOL. BEST OF LUCK. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANK YOU FOR USING FIX-YA.
