Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

Hi! Sounds like the key needs to be coded again, take all relvant details i.e. chassis vin number, Registration document (Title) and key to your local Mercedes Dealership and hopefully they'll rec-code it for youor replace it.

There is a few things to do check the door switches that control dome lights, check wire down by the skid plate when you get oil changed there is a sensor for the starter there if it is stolen the alarm will go off or just take a BAT and BEAT the living **** out of your horn and call it good like I am going to. The horn switch is in the airbag. You need to replace the airbag. I do not know if the airbag can disassembled to replace just the switch.
