Temp control on 99 dodge intrepid not working

I have the exact same problem. 99 dodge intrepid w/ manual temp control. I tried swapping the control panel but the exact same problem occurs. Not sure what the try next.

A/C and defrost light out. Temp control and blower speeds work. The vent control does not.

98 intreped stalls after getting warm, about 1/2 on temp. gauge. Then it will not restart fo 15 to 20 min. Also sometimes after driving and shutting down it will not restart untill after sitting for a...

98 and 99 intrepid was manufactured with weak fuel pumps causing them to vapor lock try pouring cool water on the fuel rails on the intake to calm vapored gas then try to start it. Even the temp gauge at half way mark is probably still low on coolant causing engine to be warmer than normal causing the vapor lock to fix this problem replace the fuel pump with a 2000 or newer intrepid fuel pump that carries a little higher psi to prevent vapor lock from reoccurring this pump is compatible with your 98 it will plug right in

Ac and deforst buttons have no power, blows hot on window only

since your buddy is a Chrysler tech, he should know that the heater module can be recalibrated with the scan tool or pull the POSITIVE cable off for five mins and put back on restat the car and select all modes, I assume this worked prior to batt replacement, sevice manual helps you do a manual calibration in different modes. GOOD LUCK RDJRP

1994 Dodge intrepid won't kick in when turned on.I have already replaced climate control unit.

I am assuming your talking about your ac. if so you can run a self diagnostic check, if you have manual temp control the led on the rear defogger can blink codes. turn car on, turn blower knob on(anyspeed), temp full cool, zone to defrost. press defogger button for 5 secs until it blinks. if it goes out 1st test is ok, rotate zone control and each section will be tested, the light will blink for each zone and then go out if it is ok, if it stays on this may be where your problem is.

My 97 dodge intrepid 3.5L is running hot.

Most likely a bad fan relay, or a bad temp sensor. Does the fan come on with the A/C? If not, most likely the relay, if so, most likely the temp sensor.

Sometimes the heat blows hot than blows cold

Try pulling trouble codes first. Run your car at idle with the blower control set at anything but off, the temperature in full cool and the right knob in defrost mode. Push the rear window defogger button until the instrument panel reads AC00. The BCM will chime and the A/C button will blink. Release the defogger button and wait until the A/C button stops blinking. The trouble codes will show up on the odometer. There isn't a vacuum hookup that I know about as these are electrical. Anyway, write down the codes and call a dealer or buy a service manual to interpret them.

Ac not working

It sounds like the air temp control bleed door motor is inop, I think it is electric in your year and model.
