How do i remove the passenger side airbag from a 1998 nissan altima

The stereo don't know. The airbag light you have something damage most likely a loose connection or damage wire or a faulty seat sensor

It is usually bolted to the dash frame with 4 10mm nuts from the bottom. You should be able to access them bu removing the glove box.

Drivers side airbag is in the steering wheel unless you are talking about the lower airbag for knees and thighs.

Remove the negative cable from your car battery before replacing car air bags. Not removing the negative cable could deploy the replacement air bag, causing injury. More car obd2 scanner to maintain car with cheap price.
Deactivate the air bag by removing the air bag fuses. Look in your car owners manual to locate the fuses.
Unscrew steering column paneling and remove the airbag bolts on the back side of the steering wheel. Pull out the airbag until you see the back side and unplug the wires.
Plug the new airbag into the wires and rebolt it back onto the steering wheel. Replace the car steering column panels.
Replace passenger side air bags through the glove box or main dash panels. Remove the glove box by taking off the glove box straps and undoing the hinges. Unplug and unbolt the airbag, slide it out the front of the dash, slide the new air bag in and rewire and rebolt it.
Put the glove box or dash panels back together. Reconnect the fuses in the fuse panel and the negative cable on the car battery and you're finished.

I don't think there is a switch to disable the airbag like some trucks have.

If it rolls down and not up then something in your switch has faulted. If it does not roll up or down then either bad switch, bad wiring, or blown fuse/ relay.

You probably have a clogged drain for the evaporator. The evaporator would have to be removed youmay have to have a professional perform this.

to replace it you have to open up the door take off the little plactic piece in the corner of the door,, then there is going to be 3 screws that you have to remove in order to remove the old one, just do the steps in reverse to replace the new mirror, i just had the same issue, but on the driver side.. good luck
