SOURCE: My siverado 1500 discharges the battery in 4 days
i am willing to bet money you have a module that isn't going to sleep on you, your truck has many many modules, or small computers through out it, they control everything electronic your truck does from locking the door to turning on the a/c, they are designed to go into a sleep mode within 5 minutes after you shut the key off to save battery power, well if one of them is not going to sleep it will constantly pull power, even when it isn't doing anything, i would recommend taking it to a dealer and having them do a module check to see if they are responding, they can also get a readout of which modules are going into sleep mode and which aren't. it may cost a couple hours labor, but they have the tools to find it in a couple hours where as the average joe could search and be frustrated for weeks trying to find it, i know this because i was a GM tech for many years, and its shocking how easy it is to find a problem with the right computer equipment
SOURCE: my 2006 chevy silverado won't start
Could be weak solenoid. It is a magnatized cylinder with a metal piston and a fork. The fork moves the starter gear out to engage with flywheel. The solonoid can be weak or the starter brushes (little magnets inside rub to make electricity) may be wearing out. You can buy rebuild kits for these for $4 Much cheaper but more work to dismantle. Or get new starter and solenoid from scrap yard for $40 or new for $120

SOURCE: Battery will not hold a charge, its new, starts
when you say new,how old,the reason i ask is some batteries are supplied dry.(no acid)but fully charged.maybe thats far fetched, but possible.....you need to put a voltmeter on the terminal to see if you have a current drain...and then sort out the short. unless you were sold a duff battery ???
SOURCE: Can a starter SLOWLY get worse and not just ****
Starter motors can get weak and slow down over time, your vehicle is a little on the new side for that to occur but it does happen, a poor connection at the battery or a low battery can give you the same symptoms, Toyota's are one of the most relibable vehicles on the market but they need regular maintance, make sure your battery cable clamps are in good condition and clean and the connection is tight at the starter. A shop or some parts suppliers can test the starter for how many amps it is drawing and that will tell you if the starter is getting tired. There are other issues that can cause your engine to crank hard so take the time to check it right before replaceing any parts.
