Gear shifter on 95 ford aspire is wobbly and will not engage clutch was out so i replaced the clutch now the shifter still will not engage, clutch does nothing, what do I need to do?
If the gear shifter is not in the correct position and "wobbles" it is likely not engaging properly to move the rods to adjust a lever on the transmission to place it in gear. You will need to remove the console parts around the shifter and see if a plastic "slide" between the rods has become worn/useless.. Your car may be easy to find at a pick 'n pull or "upullit" salvage yard and you can swap out this part after disconnecting the clips that hold everything in place.
Bleed hydrologic fluid from clutch slave cylinder should be of of. Brake booster in engine compartment.

Sounds to me that the shifter broke, i believe the shifter has a ball end that slips into a pocket in trans. that moves for gear selection and that ball brook off end of shifter. if its got a linkage set up most likely samething either shifting arms came off or shifter broke where linkage rods connect.

You most likely have a broken "Detent Spring", usually located in the top
shifter cover of the transmission. Pull up the carpet, revealing the cover
on the floorboards. Take that off, slide it up the lever, to see the top cover of
the trans. If you can see the bolts that hold it on, clean off the dirt so it
won't fall inside, and remove it. The spring is usually located in the cover.
This all depends....on the type of tranny.

This vehicle has a pair of shift cables which attatches to the shifter and runs to the transmission shift housing.To diagnose,removal of the center console is in order so you can inspect and verify the shifter/cable connections and movement,then verify the cables move the linkages properly at the transmission . These cables are a fairly common failed part and sold as the set,these are a dealer item and no aftermarket cables are available .

The only adjustment you'll probably need is to get the air out of the clutch line. Loosen the bleeder screw, and put a two or three foot vacuum line on it. Submerse the other end of the line in a bottle of brake fluid. Pump the clutch untill no more bubbles are coming out of the hose into the bottle. Be sure to keep the reservoir topped up while you do this. Hold the clutch down, and tighten the bleeder screw. Some hydraulic clutches do have an adjustment on the rod that goes from the slave cyllinder to the pressure plate. I'm not sure about yours. If there is a nut on the rod, you can adjust it somewhat. You want it set so that there is just a little bit of play between the rod and the pressure plate where the rod goes. If none of this helps, you mayneed to replace the slave cyllinder.

You'll need to get under the truck on the side of the trans (driver side) there will be an adjustment, looesen it move leveler all the way to park and tien nut.
i think this will work, with the clutch perminantly engaged it is difficult to disengage gears, fixing the clutch should make gear chaging better.
