SOURCE: Diesel engine, grey market kubota, the turqouise

yes there is a low pressure pump and a high pressure(incjector pump) if your no getting fuel to engine check for low pressure pump to be working may also have air in system which is very hard to get out and a diesel wont run untill most or all air is gone

Did you follow these procedures?

  1. Release the fuel pressure from the fuel line as follows:
    1. Remove the fuel pump fuse at the fuse box.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. After the engine stalls, crank the engine two or three times to make sure that the fuel pressure is released.
    4. Turn the ignition switch OFF and reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
  2. Loosen the hose clamps at the fuel inlet and outlet lines. Wrap a shop towel or absorbent rag around the filter, then slide each line off the filter nipples.
  3. Remove the fuel filter and old hose clamps.

To install:

  1. Place new hose clamps on the fuel inlet and outlet lines.
  2. Connect the fuel filter, being careful to observe the correct direction of flow, then tighten the hose clamps.
  3. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

Always use a high pressure-type fuel filter assembly. Do not use a synthetic resinous fuel filter

Should my Nissan Juke with 32,000 on it, just bought second hand, judder when I start it up. Its OK apart from this annoying thing

My first guess...

If the start up instructions (USA ... I could NOT find) do NOT recommend a igniter warm-up period... you might want to just allow a long moment before hitting the starter...

Diesel engines run smoothly, reliably & economically if their igniters are treated properly...

If this is your first diesel... do the reading.

You & your engine will be happier.

Fuel problems

When it stalls out, remove both fuel filters and drain them into a measuring can. Take measuring can and see if contents fill even 1 filter. Then you will know if the filters are running dry and the engine is fuel starved.
It kinda sounds like you are losing fuel draw. As RPM climbs, the draw can not keep up above idle. Could be that fuel pump is playing out.
Other consideration is that problems are in high gear where RPM drops after advancing through gear range. Could be that there is a problem with the Crankshaft counter failing to Cue enough fuel for a load at Low RPM.
Think that experimenting with Downshifting or disengaging Overdrive when engine bogs, may provide clue.
Also check if engine has EGR, some only work in top gear, and as Diesels have Vacuum pumps, a failure could create stalling if EGR leaks.

How often to change cvt transmission fluid in 2011 Nissan Juke

I have a nissan juke 2011 with 106,000 miles. my CVT tranny blew and only the dealer can install a new transmission due to the programming per the mechanic. It's $4,000 with taxes. They want to do a complete fuel system service for $250 and a total fluid exchange service for $460. I've been out of work for 8 weeks, the timing is so wrong. I just started work again but the paycheck is not where its supposed to be. I'm scrambling to find the 4 grand to do the transmission...do i really need to do $1,000 worth of fluid with nissan or can my mechanic do it much cheaper maybe a month or two onces I get my feet back on track. thank you

My Renault Kangoo injector pump gave up and I had to get a new one fitted. Now a mechanic friend has told me that no matter how well I wash out the tank, the fiings will go through the system and wreck...

Well my friend from my Experience with Renault kangoo all i can say is they all have that problem with that injection pump and If i were you I would go to a junkyard and get one from a wrecked car because it will cost you lot of $$$$ to get that pump. and if you get a pump just put it in i dont think that would matter because it will fail when it suppose to just like your old one. Good luck
