SOURCE: factory alarm 97 grand prix

1st the system alarm is intagrated into the engine control electronics, it can not be disabled without poss damage to ther systems and controls, 2nd the most common cause of your issue is the sensor in the ignition lock cylinder being defective, this is the most common issue on all GM anti-theft systems.

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

SOURCE: 2000 ford windstar anti theft light flashing vehicle won't start

This means that your key is not being recogonized.Ethier the chip in the key is bad or the patts transciever at the lock cylinder. Do you have a spare key? If not you will have to get 2 new keyss cut and programmed.

SOURCE: Ford drivers side heated seat doesn't work any ideas?

Most likely one of the heater elements in either the seat cushion or seat back is open.It leaves the module and goes to the seat back on the YE/LB wire thru the seat back and leaves there on the GY/LB wire and goes to the seat cushion and leaves there on the VT/LB. An open in either one of these will cause it not to work.Usally its the seat cushion one that goes bad.
You can test them with an ohm meter and you can get the heated element seperate. Just have to remove the cover to replace it.

SOURCE: how to change fuel filter 2000 excursion

Yes it is the tool for fuel lines and ac lines. Your local autoparts store should have them, they are universal. You need to use the small end for the fuel filter.

If it is the factory system that needs to be reset, unfortunately you will need a Ford IDS, which most large shops have or your local Ford dealer. If it is the aftermarket alarm system that needs resetting, then you need and authorized dealer of that alarm system.

How to bypass factory anti theft on 1998 ford expedition

Attention to everyone with this problem. The alarm light will always blink when vehicle is not in operation but blinks slow. This is normal. You only have a problem if you cannot start vehicle. This is a sign there was a "attempted" theft of your vehicle. If this is the case, you will usually have to do like others have suggested. A new key and or fob, etc. Hope this helps. I went through this embarrassment when I "drove" my 2000 Explorer to the dealership and was informed of the same thing I just explained. Seems reading the owners manual sometimes will answer some of the most seemingly complicated questions:)

2000 ford excursion v10 driving down the road

Honestly you should send it into the dealer. I don't think guessing will help you. Typically it is a dirty connection into the steering column (behind the ignition key) But diagnostics need to be run and a look at the VSS system (through a good scan tool) is needed to confirm.

1998 ford expedition wont start. theft like is

If you are reseting a factory alarm...lock and unlock the drivers door with the key. If you don't know the code look under the dash driver side in left corner there should be a black cover with a sticker with a code on it 6 numbers that is the factory code.

My explorer wont turn over acts like its stolen

My mechanic disconnected the security section because my key I use to start the car had the security spot on the key was loose and would not work in the ignition It was going to cost a lot for a new set of keys so he took the security section out for a lot less. As he said an older car does not need security.
