Check the prones inside the connector that you plug into the brake light module. You may have to squeeze, wiggle, tilt each one to see which one is not connecting all that good. I know it may sound confusing. I tried to explain the best of I could.

Open the door of both sides (driver and passenger) and look for the panel for the fuses. Remove the panel and you will see the fuse box. The information of the fuses is on the panel.

SOURCE: how do i replace my brake light for my 97 honda

If you will look in the trunk under that light you will see 2 holes on each side of the light. Inside those holes are the screws holding the light in place. Remove those screws and the light can then be taken out and the bulb replaced.

I assume you mean the one on the dash. This is an indicator that there is a problem in your braking system. Make sure it's not low on Brake fluid and have the brake system checked or check it yourself. If your going to check it yourself I recommend the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle as a reference.

SOURCE: Gear shift stuck in park -- 2002 Honda Accord SE

Take it to the dealer to fix it for a permanent solution, but there is a quick fix when in a bind...

There is a little key space on the left side of Park, take a screwdriver and open that and then take the screwdriver and touch the pad that is about an inch down in that hole, while touching it, you can put the car into any gear.

It is your celluloid that is sticky, which sometimes happens in hot/muggy weather. You may need that replaced.

Trace the wire back to the connector.. generally both brake lights are powered with one circut.. so the problem is probably where the brake light that does not light has a bad connection or a bad wire..

the brake light switch is either bad or needs replaced. when putting into park and taking it out, you have to press on brake to activate switch. it is located on back side of brake pedal. it should have a wire connector on it. that is why brake lights do not work also. have a good day !
