SOURCE: 98 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER WONT START - BLOWS ENG FUSE - HELP

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

SOURCE: i have a 1998 plymouth voyager and the insturment panel and gauges and wipers and locks stopped working how could this be fixed

you have to replace the " body control module " located under dash drivers side. and most of time they have to be reprogrammend unless you buy it new from dealer and they do it before you get it. the body control mod controls all those items and go bad alot.

SOURCE: replace blower motor 1998 plymouth voyager

it is located behind and below the glove box,you might want to remove the glove box assembly to see it easier,
there are four screws holding a blower motor cover you to take off first, now remove the screws holding the blower motor up,disconnect the motor wires.
if your changing this because you think its bad,you should test the blower motor wires with a test light with the key on and blower switch turned on.if you have power in the wires, then it is bad.
but if you have no power in wires it could be blower motor resister,or switch.

SOURCE: guages and insturment panel stopped working on a 1998 plymouth

In the event that you have not completely fixed this problem, I suggest the following: Do a google search for "98 voyager instrument cluster solder" and you will find an abundance of posts regarding the soldered joints on the main terminal connector on the back of your instrument cluster. If the behaviour is at all erratic and unpredictable, or hitting the dash makes the gauges come back to life, then you are about 99.9% sure it is the solder problem. It takes about 8 minutes to remove the instrument cluster (okay maybe 15), and about 2 minutes to remove the circuit board. By examining the solder joints of the main connector with a magnifying glass, you will probably see cracked or corroded solder on them. Briefly reheat each solder joint with a soldering iron to re-flow the solder. Your erratic gauge behaviour should now be history.

I replaced my steering column in my 98' Plymouth

It sounds like it's possibly an incompatability with options between the old and new components. Does your van have the security feature on it? If so, you may need to ensure that your replacement steering column comes from a vehicle that also had the security feature on it. Sounds a bit lame, but these things are so inter-wired with various components that replacing parts without the same options on it simply won't work.

1998 Plymouth grand voyager ignition won't turn

I have had this happen on my 98 Voyager. Just have a new key cut. This new key will sometimes cure the problem. The older keys get worn out and won't unlock the ignition. Try this before a much more expensive and time consuming change of the ignition.

Can know one solve the problem of the wipers on 96 plymouth voyageur why they will not come on the back one work fine have tried new motor new fuses and cant find the problem would appreciate if someone...

system should have a wiper relay in fuse panel, can a audible click be heard from dash area or arround fuse panel or exterior of firewall/engine compartment when wipers are turned on,if not locate relay (see owners manual) and check for power at relay with key on first then check for power out of relay when wiper switch is turned on,fuse should put power to relay when key is on,relay should put power to wiper motor when wiper switch is turned on

1998 plymouth grand voyager will not turn over when it is raining or snowing. When it's dry out it starts right up.

replace the starter relay located in the engine compartment fuse box near the battery.... if there is no diagram to tell you which one let me know... often it's on the inside of the lid.

Cruise control 1998 plymouth grand voyager fuse block diagram

Hello chekon,

Thank you for choosing fixya.com. The fuse box cover should have a diagram on the back of it, which will indicate which fuse represents it's component(s). If you are unsure what any abbreviations stand for or represent, look in your owners manual, or look in a service manual for the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. I also own a 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager (SE) and have a service manual for it, as well as for the 97 Dodge Caravan. My 98 has the 3.0 L engine, and I have done several maintenance requirements to it recently, so if you have any other questions, please let me know and I'll help you out.

Let me know if you need me to locate any fuses or relays for you. In the meantime, I'll do some searching online for some diagrams. Most sites charge for such items, however, if I find something I'll leave a comment with such findings.

Thank you again for choosing fixya.com.
