SOURCE: 1996 Jeep Country Wagon. Replaced fuel filter and
My 99 Jeep Cherokee keeps shuting off when I am taking right turns. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome. I am really stumped.
SOURCE: where exactly is the fuel filter located at on the
Fuel filter is under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area,
front of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel line.
However it seems you don't have fuel delivery - which indicates bad fuel pump or fuel pump relay.

SOURCE: replaced fuel pump, and it starts now but runs
I would next check the fuel pressure regulator if the pump was not pumping, or the filter was plugged some of the leftover waste in the lines from one or the other of these issues may have plugged the regulator causing inconsistent fuel pressure that would cause the engine to run rough, or possibley cut out fuel entirely, causing the vehicle to die

Check compression and timing belt. If belt is ok and you have compression, check to see if you have a pulse at the injectors. You use a device called a NOID light (basically a light bulb that plugs into the injector plug. Unplug the injectors one by one and plug the light in then crank the engine. Light should blink on and off if the system is working properly. If not check for a bad crank sensor, blown injector fuse and wiring harness. Hope this helps.
