PLEASE HELP. Dead battery on 1989 BMW 3series with power locks.

Both door locks are broken, (due to valdals, I live in Naples, Italy), I have to unlock the doors using the trunk lock only. Now, the battery is dead and the trunk lock does not unlock the doors. How can I open the hood to charge the battery???

Why dont you call loc smith to unloc the doors
You could take flat screw driver to try push the latch side ways where it latches

The only door that wont open and lock doesnt work.

Your door is what is known as 'dead locked'. There is a small servo motor which controls each door lock. When these motors go they lock up and make it impossible to open the door.moz-screenshot.jpg Here is the procedure. This is for a rear door but the process is virtually the same for a front door.7d605a5.jpg

NO WIPERS CENTRAL LOCKIN OR WIPERS

I have the same problem - Drivers door windows wing mirrors and drivers door lock not working also air bag light on. The car has been to a BMW specialist for over a week as the drivers door dead locked.
The mechanic used his diagnostic gadget which showed a problem with the drivers door. All other doors windows locks work except drivers door. Has check the power supply to the drivers door switch all ok. Is the problem with this internal window control switch and how does this affect the drivers door lock?
