I'm trying to install an after market radio (Dual XDVD276) in a 2005 Chevy Impala. The factory female plug of the wiring harness has been removed. (Not by me) How do I connect the radio to the car without the female plug to connect to the male connector on the back of the radio?

Dave,
You will need to go buy a wiring harness adapter from your local Walmart (usually cheapest there) or Local Electronics place (ie Best Buy). The wire harness that goes out from the radio goes into the Adapter and the adapter plugs into the car harnesses. Also these Adapters come with the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. They typically run 10 - 15 bucks depending on where you get them. Thanks for using FixYa!

rest assured you wont have to change the deck every year to pass a emissions test.
SOURCE: how can i install an amplifier in my honda accord
By using an amplifier with "HI INPUT" jack. You would use the signal from the actual car speaker wires. just tap into them and extend it to the amp input signal. I would recommend a SONY amp that's cheap and reliable. You can get one 800-100watts from ebay or walmart for about 100 dollars. Get a amp wiring kit and you are good to go. Contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA.
SOURCE: I am trying to remove the center console of a 2003
There are 2 10mm bolts in the compartment hold of the center console that must be removed. Two similar 10 mm bolts must be removed at the front of the center console, near the driver's and passenger's lower legs. The top of the center console, where the shifter is located, snaps out. With this top piece removed, the cigarette and auxilary outlet can be disconnected. Four more bolts near the shifter bracket need to be removed, and then the console is free. Hope this helps someone. I needed to remove the center console to install a component for a car stereo.
