Do you have the single wiper unit on your benz ?
First you can try unpluging the washer pump motor ..
If the washer pump motor is faulty it causes this on some mercs were it wont stop. .
Could be your a faulty stalk switch for the wiper operation
Next is removal of the covers to get in to the motor itself .Remove three screws and clean the 2 conntact .The grease in there shorts the conntacts out and wont stop the motor .I would go for the last one .
