SOURCE: Check Engine Light - O2 Sensor - bank 1 running lean

you should have three oxygen sensors on your car, one for each bank of three cylinders; should be towards the Y pipe on each exhaust manifold. Additionally you should have one on the exhaust pipe before the cadilitic converter.

SOURCE: 2002 Alero check Engine light Codes P0132, P0137

Code P0132 is O2 sensor voltage high bank1 sensor 1, P0137 is O2 sensor voltage low bank 1 sensor 2, P1189 indicates a fuel control problem bank 1. It could be either the O2 sensors or a convertor. Could also be intake manifold gaskets. GM had a lot of problems with the lower intake gaskets leaking on the 3.1 and 3.4 engines that was linked to their Dexcool coolant. In fact they just lost a class action lawsuit about it. check with the dealer and see if the intake problem has been taken care of. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: P0132 code along with P0300, P0301, P0302, etc.

check for intake manifold for vacuum leaks, use a can of spray carb cleaner and spray around the top of the engine, if you hit a leak the engine idle will change, P0302 is a miss in #2 cylinder (cylinder power output low, lean cylinder due to poss vacuum leak and other issues.). once again an O2 will not cuase a mis-fire.

SOURCE: Check engine light

Sometimes can be prematurely dirty air filter, sets off the air flow sensor, which sets off the o2 sensor. So might try new air filter first and erase codes and then see, before you spend more bucks than you need; then if codes return, do the flow mix sensor.

Have p0031 and p0132 is it the same upstream 02 sensor bank 1 drivers side the problem, wiring is good jeep has 325,000 kilometers on it

P0031 -02 sensor heater heater circuit low bank1 sensor 2
P0030 -02 heater control circuit malfunction
P0132 Oxygen sensor circuit high voltage (bank 1 sensor 1)
P0132 is for bank 1 sensor 1 which is the engine management sensor when it a high voltage recheck the harness for proper connection and also the wiring harness a definition of circuit high mean it is not connected, Recheck the connection and make sure the 02 is properly torque or tighten a loose installation can also set these codes.

Check engine code O2 sensor p0132

New PCM plugs and wires? hun?
new harness ,why? in a fire or wreck? running off road?
or did you mean, new PCM, new spark wires, and all new 02s sensors' It wont be a bad PCM , sorry, 99% are good.
P0132
the PCM never lies. it measure this and does a test and if it fails there is a circuit fault.
the why to understand, DTCs (have a FSM factory serv. manual)
and read how the test works. or do the tests it tells you do to
to discover true cause)
i have this car v6 3.8L: and 6speed and the FSM, book.
verbatim.
O2 SENSOR 1/1 CIRCUIT HIGH
1/1 means bank 1 , front sensor (upsteam)
bank one means right bank, cylinder 1 side.
what does HIGH mean?

what is not clear is which side is failing, heater or CELL
this test is the CELL pin (oxy out)
pin 4.
the test (called a monitor) finds that pin 4 is stuck at 5v.
the o2 must be 0 to 1volt at all times.
if stuck at 5vdc then the ground is open to CELL pin 3 (wire cut)
or the 02 sensors is bad. (open)
do you know how to back probe? a skill that is must for all modern cars. use needles with your meter. (DMM) (leather needles work in a pinch sold at walfart for 1buck) needle probes are 10x better
key on and back probe pin 4, if at 5vdc or more(or near) it's wrong.
btw page 2891 shows what to do in the FSM. yah 7000 pages.
I think this pin floats to 5v if the wire is cut.

fail 2 is that pin 4 is shorted to voltage ,well , the heater runs off
of 12v and all cars (bad service) the 2 wires melt and short.

here ill list all 4 pins (key on)
1- 12v heater.
2- ground
3 - ecu quite ground to 02 (cell minus)
4- CELL + out (this is the oxy signal)

pin 4 must not be at 5v or 12v, but 0 to 1 volts.
at key on or running.

one more FSM quote
Measure the voltage in reference to ground, not the (K902) O2 Return Upstream circuit.

that means pin 3 to 4, is measured for best accuracy
but 5vdc or 12vdc is gross wrong .

if the o2 is new (is)
then this quote covers most fails on most cars
Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
Look for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals. Verify that there is good pin to terminal contact
in the Oxygen Sensor and Powertrain Control Module connectors.

here is the wiring.
if you need more photos full size or more tests.
or have questions, ask, i'm a retired ET, (controls systems , PLCs +)

What does Code P 0132 mean

Hi there:
DTC P0132 - O2 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor1)
This involves the front oxygen sensor on Bank 1. This code indicates that the heated oxygen sensor reading is too high. In the case of Ford vehicles, that indicates the voltage at the sensor is over 1.5 volts. Other vehicles may be similar. You will likely not notice any drivability problems.

A code P0132 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The oxygen sensor heater circuit is shorted out
The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed (less likely)

Possible Solutions: the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.

If the code comes back, the problem is more than likely the front Bank 1 oxygen sensor. You will likely wind up replacing it but you should also consider these possible solutions:
Check for wiring problems (shorted, frayed wires)
Check the voltage of the oxygen sensor
Replace O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located on the driver's side)

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Obd code po0132 on 2003 Dodge ram 1500

P0132 is O2 sensor High circuit sensor voltage sensor 1 bank1, What this mean is either you 02 sensor on bank1 (or where cylinder 1 is located) is disconnected internally or extenally you will need to inspect the harness for any disconnection if connection is good then you will need a new 02 sensor

Hi 2005 ford freestar engine light is on bought code scanner and was given these codes....p2195, p2196, p0053, p0132 and p0133 i also bought the shop service manual from the dealer..however, ididnt...

p2195 is 02 sensor stuck lean ( bank 1 sensor 1 )--check for a possible vacuum leak in all vacuum lines.-- if no vacuum or other leaks could be egr valve. p2196 is the same but stuck rich,--p0053 is ho2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 heater resister all codes are related to the o2 sensor, p0113 is intake air tempurature curcuit high input ( IAT ). check wiring or senser replace if need be. if you can not find any leaks and egr system is ok, then its the 02 sensor causeing this.

I have a code po141 what i have to do what piece a have to change in where are this pieces

Code PO141 indicates that the heater circuit in the Oxygen Sensor mounted in Bank 1 (Driver's Side) is not working properly. The ECM has determined that the sensor is taking too long to heat up to around 600 degrees and then switch out of close loop mode. If the ECM determines that it is taking too long then a code PO141 will be set. Normally it is the sensor itself that is defective. Replacing the sensor normally will fix the problem. However it can be the wiring harness or a a bad connection. Check the wiring carefully and look for a short in the wiring. If you find none then replace the O2 Sensor. If this does not repair the problem do not replace any other parts. Time to take it to a professional with professional tools and diagnostic skills to find the problem. The O2 sensor is more than likely the problem but there is no guarantee that will fix it.
