It is acually called the vehicle speed sensor I do believe. It should should be located on the top of your transmission with a wiring harness attached to it. It should also have 1 bolt holding it in also. Whatever you do, do not rotate the gear when you remove it. Try to mark the exact way it came out when you replace the sensor. When you pull the sensor out it will have this gear attached to it which will need to be placed into the new sensor and put back into the vehicle in the same way it came out or you will throw a code and it will not be pretty. the crank sensor is on the right(passenger side) rear of the engine block you will need a mirror to see it it is acessed from the top of the engine to remove the bolts you need an extra long 1/4" allen socket it is a royal pain to get to i have changed too many and usually have to find it by "feel"

It's located near the cam gear on the front of the engine however, the crank sensor, to the right of the oil filter near the bell housing is the part notorious for going out on these cars, and causing a p0322 and/or p0341 code, and sometimes others as well To replace the crank sensor you have to: Support the motor with a floor jack. Remove the starter, 2 of the starter bolts connect to the motor mount. Remove the motor mount from the frame, very easy. Remove the oil filter. That will give you just enough room to get an allen wrench in to remove the bolt holding the sensor in.

It is located at the front of the engine under the crankshaft harmonic balance. Real easy to get to and replace.
