I have a 1988 Acura Legend with a 2.7L. My starter turns over but my car does not turn on. There is power going into the coil. I know that for sure. I don't know if there is coming out of it. I know there...

Remove the cable which connects your coil and the distributor from the distributor side. Have someone to crank your engine while holding the cable (use insulated pliers to hold the cable by insulated part). Maintain 1/2 inch distance from the engine surface where is some bare metal without paint. If there is the spark, then replace your distributor's cap and rotor. If there is no spark, replace coil and check your cap and rotor anyway, if they look worn and black inside, then replace them anyway. Note: before removing spark plug wires from distributor cap, mark wires and distributor!

Truck wont crank. we have put new distributor cap, rotor button, coil pack, plugs, wires, and fuel pump. we also checked our firing order.

you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.

My 90 acura integra wont start it turns over but wont fire i changed the distributor, and spark plugs,i am getting fuel but it just cranks and cranks but wont start, the cause i dont know was driving down...

Well, something is missing. Your engine needs fuel, ignition, and compression to run. You need to findout which of these systems is malfunctioning before anybody can tell you why your engine won't start.
If there is no spark, I would check the ignitor in the distributor first. There are other possible causes, but this isthe most common.

If there is no fuel, I would suspect a bad fuel pump. (you can check this by spraying a SMALL amount of starting fluid in the intake and see if the engine fires.

If there is no spark and no fuel, I would suspect a broken timing belt.

1990 honda wont start or crank, the lights dont come on, head or inside the car

The distributor in the hondas has a function of also engaging the coil to create spark. No spark = no fire. Perhaps take a plug out, leave the lead on, hold it with INSULATED pliers against a solid metal part of the engine and get someone to crank the engine over.

If the plug sparks - coil and firing switch OK. If no spark, check coil first - remove main + feed lead from coil terminals and check on a meter for power with key on but NO motor cranking. No power = faulty distributor/firing switch. No other ideas sorry!

If it won't turn over you may want to check Battery cables for tightness and/or corrosion Starter solenoid Neutral or clutch safety switch

1995 Acura Legend dont have fire to the coils

You dont have spark, or no power to the coil? If you have power to the coil, but know spark, check the resistance in the coil, and the crank position sensor.
