Thumping noises and vibrations can be something as simple as a tread separation(or a big bubble) on one of your tires.As for the one wheel turning---that's perfectly normal.If you grab the wheel that's turning (not really recommended) and stop it completely,the other wheel will spin.

the vibration can be your tires, it may need balance, or the tire is out of round. I had seen the tires wear unevenly can cause this. what I mean is because this 4 wheel all the time design, if any of the tire is worn more than the rest can also do that.
the noise is a different thing, it can be a ball joint or tie rod end

driveshaft yokes have prematurely failed on these with a lot of owners. as well similar problem with tranny cooler in radiator leaking and allowing coolant into tranny destroying tranny thus causing vibrations. checkk www.nissanhelp.com in the forums and you will prob find a better answer/more info.
