I have a 2004 Chevy Suburban 1500 four wheel drive 5.3 L I'm having trouble with the fuel not getting to the fuel rail my fuel pump turns on you can hear it turn on I replace my fuel filter but they're still no fuel getting to the motor is it my pump that I need to replace or do I need to change out my hoses for the fuel rail or the fuel rail itself I really I'm not looking forward to it being the fuel pump but I mean if it turns on you can hear it you know sometimes my truck will turn on sometimes it won't but once the trucks on already it doesn't have a problem it stays on we're good as long as I don't turn it off if I turn it off then it's like hell getting it to turn back on, also I would like to add that my truck is E85 compatible and that's the fuel that I've been using also the fuel seems to make it to my fuel filter but then past my fuel filter images doesn't reach my motor I don't understand what the problem is like if I unscrew the fuel filter fuel comes out like a decent amount so my thing is is it could be my fuel rail or the pressure line from my filter up to the motor I mean I don't know I need some help here
My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs from www.reliable-store.com instead. much better info on all vehicles,
complete details, and they also have live assistance feature

The vacuum diagram for the truck should be printed on a factory sticker right next to the hood latch inside the engine compartment. If its missing or ruined you could try looking inside a Chilton or Haynes manual.

L67 Engine
The supercharged 3800 engine utilizes two drive belts. The outer drive belt drives the supercharger. The inner drive belt drives the following components:
Generator
Power steering pump
Water pump
Air conditioning compressor All driven accessories rigidly mount to the engine. Spring-loaded belt tensioners maintain the drive belt tension. Each drive belt has its own tensioner. A drive belt squeak, occurring when the engine starts or stops, is normal and has no effect on the durability of the drive belt. The drive belt tensioner can control the drive belt tension over a broad range of drive belt lengths, due to stretching. However, there are limits to the tensioner's compensation ability. Poor tension control and/or damage to the tensioner may occur after using the tensioner outside of its operating range. Replace the drive belt when this occurs.
1. Lift or rotate the supercharger drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut.
2. Remove the supercharger drive belt.
3. Lift or rotate the drive belt tensioner using a 15 mm box end wrench on the pulley nut.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. To install, reverse removal procedure.
