There is no display when I turn on the ignition and the theft lock light stays on. I have tried the one procedure with holding the 2 & 3 buttons down and writing down the code but there is no display on the radio.

This will fix it. I just did mine. You do NOT need to pull out your stero to get the Serial Number.
If you lost the code, you may retrieve it from https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

you have to call the pontiac dealer parts dept and he will tell you how to get the code you may have to prove ownership for the car because the anti-theft is activated at this time

I suffered the same problem. Turn your ignition key to the ON position for 1 hour. This will reset the double lock feature on the radio to prevent theft. Once you leave your ignition key on for 1 hour, turn the key to the off position. Remove the key. Then turn the ignition key back to the ON position. You should then see "LOC" instead of "InOp". Then try the steps to enter your code again. Three incorrect tries will enable the double lock feature again, and you will have to repeat these steps to reset it.
