I left the ignition on by accident and drained my battery, it was making funny noises under dash. installed good battery and it makes loud ticks under the hood at the Auto shut off relay

Hi sherry It sounds as though you might have a flat or faulty battery. Battery has enough power to function the electrics on the car but when under load I.e. cranking engine it fails, this would create a clicking noise from left footwell as that is where the starter position is. There is a chance that one of the battery terminals are loose or maybe badly corroded making a poor contact. Possibly a poor contact connection at starter motor or earth contact at chassis or engine. Drain oil and install correct amount, sounds like a lifter noise clicking sound not to loud just a steaddy tick, when you rev up gits faster right.....

The fuse might be built into the cable to the lighterand/or radio. It's called "fusable link", this type of fuse looks like a cable. Or another type of fusable link might be in the fuse box under the hood near the firewall.

You installed the wires wrong

Google a picture of the ignition
wires & firing order

keep in mind exhaust converters get blocked
after 12 years or sooner if you have cylinder misfires

have the altanator checked out and the starter

I do not think that the battery change and the noise for the a/c is related, probably just a coincidence.

If the a/c makes a loud noise when it is turned up, I would try switching to vent to see if the noise is still there. If it is, then it is the ventilation fan likely located on the firewall or under the dash under some plastic paneling.

There is no reset button for the a/c.

Check the brake light switch, located under the dash above the brake pedal. The other noise may not even be related to brake lights staying on

Is it a ticking or knocking noise? or does it sound like something is leaking could be a bad manifold gasket which would be better than a ticking or knocking.

i have a enault traffic 1.9 on an 03 plate, diesel. when i put it into 5th and 6th gear it makes a kinda grinding noise, can anyone help and tell me what this could be. thanks.

if it is a ticking sound, check your oil level.
if after you shut down, then you probably had the air conditioning on? If so, normal.
does it drain the battery?
