SOURCE: HOW TO INSTALL AMP INTO A FACTORY RADIO IN DODGE DURANGO 2002

You can buy adaptor plugs that allow a simple hook up at most car stereo places.  However, when you increase the power going to the speakers you also have to replace the speakers to handle the higher power or you'll toast them.

i think there may be a fuse located on one of the wires thats attached to the radio itself, you will have to pull the radio to check it

Installed aftermarket radio in 2001 dodge durango. not sure what to do with purple wire which is data lines system? and now guages dont work and neither does the mpg read out or anything up there all

Hopefully you used an aftermarket wiring harness that plugs directly into your Durango harness...(no cut splice etc) You did not mention if the new radio played correctly...sounds more like a fuse
to your Durango on these feature functions...your owners manual should help you identify which one...my guess is this 1 fuse controls your missing functions...hope this helps.

Lost all power to vehicle driving home. One battery cable is very corroded. Could it be the battery or is it the alternator?

Start by cleaning, or replacing the corroded part. Charge the battery, if necessary. If the car starts, then take it to AutoZone or O'Reillys and have them test the alternator, usually for free.

When I replaced ignition switch in a 2000 buick centery I stll cannot get power to starter and power windows ,gas guage and radio don't work

Sounds like the Ignition switch wasn't the problem, check your fuse links at starter, they are soft fuseable wire that will burn if shorted or even when they get old over time they will go bad. they are the smaller like #10-12 ga. wire , should be at least 1 maybe 2 of them at harness connection to starter.

Electrical malfunction of dash guages

Wiring problem under the dash. Could be a ground issue as you said. You need to get under the dash and check the grounds.

Need to get into dash radio has a loose wire

this is fairly easy the trim around the radio and guages is simply held in with tabs. Carefully pull the trim off 1 by 1, be carefull when by the fog light switch as you will have to disconnect the plug to fully remove the trim. Once you have the trim piece off the radio should be held in by 2 bolts, remove the bolts and pull out the radio, be carefull however as they usually don't give a lot of wire, so remove the radio slowly and unplug the wires then you should be able to get inside the dash and find the problem.

I have a CD STUCK in my 2004 dodge Durango. How

1st try to hit the eject button multiple times in a row. If this doesn't work you have 3 options.
1= pull the radio unit, disassemble case, gingerly remove CD, and reassemble.
2=Go to dealer or repair shop and have them remove. If you have a warranty left, mopar should be able to help. Factory radios have been a problem with Mopar for years.
3= Go buy a new CD and forget about it

My 03 x type jag wont even try to turn over? Dash lights are fine but windows, mirrors and starter dead! All the dash lights and monitor and radio work but wont even tryto start? Transmittion wont come out...

Sounds like all of the high drain devices are disabled due to a weak battery. You are still getting dash lights and radio because they are very low drain devices. Try charging the battery to test for now. It could be a failing battery, or your alternator and or voltage regulator could be going out and not charging the system. But first, try to charge the battery, and see if you can start it, if you can, let it run for at least 10 minutes. If your alternator/VR is going out or is already out, you should have a guage, or idiot light telling you that you have low voltage. If its a light, you should see a red battery lit up on the dash, if its a guage, it should be directly in the middle +/- a little. If you are able to run the vehicle for a while with no light coming on, or guage showing low voltage, its safe to say you drained the battery, or it is failing. If its a few years old or more, i'd go ahead and replace it. Hope this helps :)

Cold thermostat guage, check engine light

If thermostat not changed recently, that's a good place to start, then make sure your rad fan isn't on all the time or too frequently.
