Take it back to Budget, it's their car ,and fob. They will replace it for you. You can go to auto parts store and buy a battery and change it and try to get them to reimburse you.

SOURCE: key fob not working after changng battery

Bring it to a "Batteries Plus" type store; they can repair the fob if it is ony a broken battery clip. They did it for me for free! IF it is not the fob, then bring it to a dealer??

SOURCE: how do i open the key fob to replace the battery...

For 2009 Cadillac CTS

Remove the hidden key by slipping a small screwdriver or knife under the metal endcap and lift. The key will come out. To replace the battery, pry the two halves of the main plastic housing apart, exposing the CR 2032 battery.

SOURCE: the battery is flat on my nissan pathfinder the

I had a similar problem. I noticed one of my door handles (passenger side) had a little key engraved on it with a small slot under it. I inserted my key into that slot to pry the cover out. Underneath was a hidden keyhole which fit the pathfinder key perfectly and opened the passenger door. I could not find this solution in the manual - so simple - yet stressful.

2016 Nissan Sentra and key fob not working.. strange thing both of them not working.. Is there someplace to insert key to start it?

Hi. I would have your FOBs tested or try replacing the battery in both FOBs. Your vehicle will not detect the FOB if the battery is too low or dead. Start there first. If that doesn't help please write back with more information, details and I will try to help. Good Luck.

My 2017 Malibu beeps sometime when I get in the car. It doesn't do it all the time and I can't find any consistent reason for it beeping at me.

It may not be detecting you key fob before you turn the ignition on. it will be doing a security check first as you approach and enter the car. you might have a key fob battery getting low and need replacement.

My car is shutting off why im driving it is getting fire and fuel we have tried everything we can think of can you help me with this 1998 nissian pathfinder

1. Did you open the door with the key rather than the key fob if it was locked with the key fob? Some engine immobilizer will let drive a short distance and then shut down.
2. Is the engine oil level correct. Some cars wont start if too low.
3. Is battery fully charged? Some cars will shut down if the battery voltage drops too low.
