remove the cover and see if the dvd run, if not you got a motor problem or a motor drive one,if yes then try cleaning the reading eyes(pickup)by blowing dry air (get a can at radio shack)check for goods, if dosent work, take it to a shop for a repair thats all you can do, is a job for a tech....good luck

Try to disconnect battery contacts and connect it back. Check also if there is an emergency opening device. In some model you have a pin hole underneath the cd tray. push a staple tip inside the hole, and this will release the cd.
If the tray still does not open, you may need to have a repairman opening your stereo at your local service point.

I've had this happen once before..CDR's are a little bigger than regular cd's.Sometimes they wont let go at all..You either can undo the battery and then reconnect then it usually automatically ejects or you'll have to manually do it or you can pull the fuse and then put it back in and the same proceedure..

The problem may be related to each other. It could be the motor/solenoid that controls the elevator that may have gone bad. Error 4 is a product of the issue. Check for burnt parts like resistors or swollen or leaking parts on the board.

Error 3: Mechanical Malfunction (Replace CD player.)

Error 4: CD Player Overcurrent (Allow CD player to cool and try again.)

Overhead DVD player in 2008 Toyota Sienna does not show the picture. Sound works.

Hello, I hope this helps. If no change then you probably have a hardware/ wiring issue and the dvd player may need to come out. Please advise
1. Confirm the DVD RSE system is inoperative. (blank screen) 2. For vehicles with Toyota navigation system: Perform the following procedure to turn OFF the RSE Lock function. A. Press the INFO switch on the navigation unit. B. Press the "Screen Setting" touch button on the navigation display. C. Under the "Rear Lock" option, press the "OFF" touch button and then press "OK" in the upper right part of the display. D. Press the DVD switch on the RSE system (if a DVD is NOT already in the player, insert one) and confirm screen is ON and the system will play DVDs. 3. For vehicles without Toyota navigation system: Perform the following procedure to turn OFF the RSE Lock function. A. Push the Audio Control knob multiple times to cycle through the various options (Bass, Mid, Treble, etc.) until "REAR LOCK" is shown on the screen. B. Turn the Audio Control knob so the display says "OFF" next to "REAR LOCK". C. Press the DVD switch on the RSE (if a DVD is NOT already in the player, insert one) and confirm screen is ON and the system will play DVDs. 4. If the above procedure resolves the concern, explain the system operation to the customer. This procedure is described in the Audio/Video" section of the vehicle Owner's Manual. 5. If the above procedure does NOT resolve the concern, perform RSE diagnosis using the Technical Information System (TIS), 2006 model year applicable vehicle Repair Manual.

DVD Stuck in player

There is nothing you can do with this problem unless you are able to repair DVD players, the loading mechanism of any DVD player is very complicated, chances are a small part has broken. Call the dealer and ask for the phone # of the repair center they use, call them for an estimate, don't go through the dealer, they will double the repair bill from the radio shop.
