After driving for thirty minutes or more, i turn the car off and i begin to hear a boiling noise, but the car never overheated. The coolant is boiling. i recently had a new water pump, timing belt, power steering belt n alternator belt put in and i just placed the radiator cap and now the car overheats after only a few minutes
This could also be head gasket related- have your radiator fluid tested for carbon deposits/ blow by from exhaust.
If you have air in your cooling system, your water pump can not pump the coolent through your engine. I had a altima that everytime I changed the coolent for whatever reason, air would get into a system and dealer ship only knew how to bleed the system.
The boiling noise you are hearing is the air bubble in your system.
When u turn on the car when it is cool, open up the radiator cap and gently squeeze the rubber hose. You should see air bubble coming out of top. Do not try that when the engine is hot.
Try to run your heater too. That circulates the coolent throught the system. If your engine heats up, put your heater on full blast. That cooles your engine right down. In the middle of summer, if your engine heats up, use the same trick. It gets pretty hot inside and that save your engine and gets you home
Sounds like the thermostat may be sticking closed. i would check to see if the thermostat is opening or not
