I have a VW golf mk5 2.0 gt tdi 2007. I had to remove the connection for the passenger airbag to fit a amplifier cable. When I connected everything back up the airbag warning light is illuminated?. Has anyone had similar problems with airbag warning lights and solved the problem?. I've seen some OBD11 diagnostic scanners that can communicate with airbags on eBay, shall I just get one of those or is there an easier way to to get rid of this annoying ****** light?.
The light will reset when the fault that turned it on is diagnosed and repaired. At this time your airbags are disabled, drive carefully.

Some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10-20 mins and it usually resets a check engine light. But the airbag light is different. This means there is something wrong with the airbag system and it will not go out until maintenance.

Some cars are designed to illuminate the warning light after the battery is disconnected. Playing around with the airbags and trying to turn this light off can be dangerous. That is why most people recommend taking it to the dealership to have it turned off. It might cost a few bucks but would be cheaper than having to replace the air bag if you accidentaly set it off while trying to turn the light off. I know that most people would like to try and fix it themselves, but just consider what might happen if you accidental perform a wrong step. Hope this helps

the door lock mechanism inside the door is stiff and if you remove the door panel and give it a good squirt with engine oil from a oil, can it may ease it off and it will start working
