SOURCE: How to test head gasket (non running engine)?
Yes, remove all of the spark plugs, and test each cylinder individually. This will tell if the gasket has sealed properly. Once you get the engine running, do this again to see if it can hold combustion pressures.

how did the diesel get in there? are you sure its diesel fuel or is it motor oil? then it could be head gasket problem. Or trans fluid, which would make it milky pink? Then it could be the trans cooler in the radiator leaking. If someone accidently put diesel fuel in it then just flush it out. If it has been in there long enough to start ruining hoses then replace those. why does he say gaskets? how does it run? does it overheat? then maybee head gaskets. and resurface heads.
Testimonial: "Thanks donnissan. I've already previously drained the radiator but the problem again recurred, its really diesel and not oil mixing with the water."

When you checked the timing did you watch the valves? The crank turns twice for every turn on the cam. Turn the engine over by hand and watch the valves on the number 1 cylinder. When the intake opens and closes, the exhaust should start to open with a little more turning. This is top dead center. Line up you timing marks from here, it shouldn't take much turning. Then check your distributor to make sure the rotor button is lined up with the number 1 spark plug. Hope this helps.

yes you will have to replace it again, my guess is that your heads are warped though
SOURCE: low oil pressure after heads replaced
Was the oil changed? Has the low pressure been verified with a mechanical test gauge at the oil pressure sending unit pressure port? Do that 1st before assuming the pressure is low.
