SOURCE: VW indicator unit on wing mirror

Ok very carefully pull off the mirrior blade. The mirrior blade is clipped but EXTEMELY fragile and will break if forced. From there remove the 2 heated blade wires. The cover is also clipped as you will notice after that is removed. You have to pry with a plastic tip between the cover and hosing near the body of the car while pulling the clips in the housing you see to lift the cover straight up. Once this is done you'll need a t-10 torx screwdriver to remove the lower portion. These screws are when you're looking straight down. With this assembly off you can access the 2 other little screws holding the flasher to the bottom cover. Remove the wires and the little clip and there you go. Installation is reverse.

SOURCE: transmission fluid check on a vw jetta tdi

Never ever bring a jetta to a volkwagen dealer. They will bend you over and rape you.

All you have to do is remove the top plug with a hex wrench.

SOURCE: 97 VW Jetta TDI Timing Belt, How difficult is it?

Hi There,

Here's a step-by-step from some great guys over at TDIClub.com
for an AAZ (which I'm assuming you have)
http://www.tdiclub.com/articles/A3-TimingBelt/

It's pretty involved, and some special tools are needed. I've seen kits for sale

SOURCE: How do I reset the low tire pressure indicator

With the ignition on, but before you start the car, press and hold the the "Set" button located in front of the gearshift.
You should hear a tone after holding it for a few seconds. Once you hear the town you can release the button and the light should be reset.

I have a 2003 Jetta TDI and the coil light comes on and flashes

Amazingly enough, If one or more of your brake lights is burned out this can cause the Glow plug indicator to flash, replace the burned out bulb(s). This often sets a Code but will not turn on the Check Engine light. It took me forever to find this solution first time it happened. I've seen it many times since.

The glowplug warning on my 2004 polo 1.9 tdi is flashing. i've checked the fuses & they all look good. what next ?

These flashes indicate a system error code and will require further diagnosis from a VW diagnostic machine, probably a glow plug has failed.

2000 VW Jetta E-Brake Light indicator beeps when brake is off

I fixed mine!! First check your ebrake switch by starting your vw and putting the ebrake on. If your daytime running lights stay on when the ebrake is engaged, its NOT the switch. Stay with me here. Turn vw off and pull fuse number 5. Mine was blown, but the legend only shows a pic of a book with an exclamation point. Meaning the book will tell you what it is, BUT IT DOESN'T . I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse and voila, victory. If it is not number 5, pull every fuse one at a time and inspect them closely. Do not assume, check each one. That is how I found mine after I bought and replaced the $10 switch. Running lights stay on because the switch is not being acknowledged, not because it is bad. I searched every forum I could find on this and there were no answers to this problem anywhere. So I am posting so there is an answer out there. What put me on the right track was the running lights staying on when the ebrake was engaged after I put in the new switch.
