Why does my van over heat when ac is on and only in hot weather ?

Check to see if the fans come on, if you have electric fans. If you have electric fans, they should come on high when the A/C is on. If you don't have electric. Look at cleaning the condenser and radiator. Look in the grill. Shine a light threw the radiator and condenser. You see no or very little light. Clean them.

I have a hole in the ac condenser iv taken the condenser and radraidtor out I have no money to buy new parts can ibypasss it

If you just had a hole in condenser and not radiator, and it does not bother you to not have air conditioning, you should have taken it apart. The air cond. will detect low freon pressure and not turn on.

I had my front bumper painted and now my ac only blows warm air and the ac compressor will not kick on.

The A/C condenser is mounted right behind the bumper so, unless the painter covered the condenser or removed the bumper before spraying it, he painted the condenser as well. This is bad because the condenser must have air flow through it in order for the A/C to work properly. Try to have a look at the condenser, it looks like a smaller radiator mounted in front of the radiator and behind the grill / bumper. If it is painted, go back to the paint shop and demand it to be replaced. Also, have the radiator checked to be sure it isn't painted because that'll run into engine overheating issues.

It heats up while the ac is on and the truck is at a stand still. if the truck is in motin , it does not heat up. note: the truck does not heat up if it is idleing with the ac off.

The condenser in front of the radiator puts off a lot of heat when in use. If the coolant level and specific gravity is correct, the radiator needs to be checked for sufficient flow. Being almost 12 yrs old there is probably a lot of build up in the core.

Need to replace ac condensor on 1999 taurus how do you do it

If your AC system is empty...The condenser is in front of the radiator.
1. Use ramps or jacks or a lift to raise the car so you can work under it.
2. remove the splash guard under the radiator.
3. Remove the bolts holding the tranmission cooling lines. These also may also hold the bottom of the condenser on the AC line side. Move the cooling lines away from the AC lines.
4. Remove the nuts holding the AC lines to the condenser. You may have to hold the fittings with a vise wrench to prevent bending the pipes.
5. Remove the other lower condenser bolt and use the access holes to remove the top bolts holding the condenser.
6. Lower the condenser out.
Reverse procedure to install the new condenser.

If you have the correct tools, this is a fairly easy job.
