An it wont start. I replaced my starter with a new one. Once again it wouldnt start over. Any suggestions? Also it seems to happen when i fill up for gas. It happened twice now.

Wouldn't start ???? When you turn the key to the start position you hear clicking , starter doesn't engage an spin the engine , correct ? Filling up with fuel wouldn't cause this . You replaced the starter an battery , just guessing ! If you don't know how to test automotive electrical circuit's maybe you should take it to a qualified repair shop.

SOURCE: 1999 Kia Sportage: Issue with car starting

You may need a starter. My 99 Kia would get me places and would refuse to start. Someone hit the starter with a wrench and it started right up. I had to hit the starter to get my Kia to start until I replaced it.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I replaced my starter for a 98 chevy suburban 2

Possible not shimmed correctly. The starter teeth have to engage correctly for the starter not to hang up. That's what probably happened & broke teeth off. You had better check your flywheel around the entire circumfrence as teeth may be missing from it as well. Starter won't engage if teeth and flywheel teeth in same spot are broken off. If the flywheel teeth are bad, it will be a spendy fix to put a new one on... Rick

SOURCE: when I turn the key my starter just clicks once or

The click indicates that not enough power is going to your starter to engage it, much less spin the engine. If you are POSITIVE your battery is good, then you likely have a bad connection at either the battery, the selenoid, or the starter. You must check and clean all connections, not only positive but grounds as well, from the battery to the starter and from the ground post to your ground on the car. Good Luck! I hope you find this very helpful!

2001 Aztek....won't start. When trying to start,

A rapid clicking noise in a GM starter is a sign of insufficient power going to the battery. Make sure all your connections have bare, shiny metal to metal contact. Do a "load test" on the battery. It may show enough power on a voltmeter only to fail when it is forced to produce it. On a load test it shouldn't drop below 10.5 -12 volts and it should bounce back to near 14 when the load is off. Check the ground strap between the engine and body and the ground at the battery.
If everything is good I would replace the power cable from the battery to the starter. I've had a few of them that looked good but the car wouldn't start until I replaced the cable. Hope this helps.

2001 Pontiac Aztek STILL will not start.

If the car is clicking, it is most likely the starter engaging, but it doesnt have enough power to crank. Charge the battery or try getting a jump.

Starts one day not the next this happened 2 months ago help

If your starter was going your would hear a clicking noise from it. My 03 Aztek did the same thing. I was told it was the Egnition Switch and the BCM, replaced them and had it reprogrammed and it was not the problem. Turned out it was 3 yellow or red ( I forgot) little wires under neath the brake pedal that were losing connection and one was corroded
